Welcome to CBBC

Junior Domestic Competition

Founded in 1970, City Beach Basketball Club is a junior basketball club affiliated with Perry Lakes Hawks, providing participation and development opportunities for players aged 7–18.

• Games are played primarily at Bendat Basketball Centre (Floreat) and Lords Recreation Centre (Subiaco).
• Training is conducted across several western suburbs venues, including Bendat Basketball Centre, Lords Recreation Centre, Hale Junior School, JTC Sports Hall, and Churchlands Senior High School.
• The playing season runs from March to September. No games or training sessions are scheduled during the school holidays.
• There is no set game time for specific age groups.
• All games consist of two 20 minute halves.
• Players may only register for one club and one team within the Perry Lakes Hawks Basketball Association.
• Every team must have a Team Manager and Coach. All coaches, including those under 18 years of age, must hold a current Working with Children Check.
• The Club provides each player with a playing singlet for the season, which must be returned in good condition at the end of the season. A $50 fee will apply for lost or damaged singlets.
• Club shorts are compulsory for U10-U18 players and can be purchased during registration.
• Game times and venues may vary from week to week. Please check fixtures via PlayHQ or MyHoops.
• All parents are expected to assist with scoring duties throughout the season.

Returning Players

An Expression of Interest form will be emailed to all current players on 02 November 2026. This assists the Club with early team planning, however completing the form does not constitute registration.

All returning 2026 players will receive an invitation to register email towards the end of January 2027.

New to the Club

If your child did not play with City Beach Basketball Club in the winter 2026 competition please add their name to the Central Waitlist via the Perry Lakes Hawks webpage https://www.hawksbasketball.com.au/competitions/junior-domestic-competition/#central-wait-list.

The waitlist opens on 01 December 2026.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee you a placement in a team.

All interested parties should join the waitlist individually. In the Notes/Comments section, please include names of any friends they wish to play with. If you are seeking placement for an entire team, we also recommend that all players also register individually in case the Club is unable to accommodate a full team.

CBBC was at full capacity in the 2026 season, however, positions may become available for the 2027 season. Our usual process is to determine the number of returning players before offering places to waitlisted players.

Age Groups

Please refer to the table below for your child's age group. The age groups (apart U8s) consist of two birth years and are based on the school year model.
